ABOUT ME

Valériane is a French Caribbean native of Nanterre, France where she began her artistic training.

​

Immersed at a young age in the performing arts world, she made a few television appearances, in Equipe Medical d’Urgence (Episode 9 Season 3) as a principal actress and also as a background performer in other TV shows.

​

Upon moving to New York City after high school, she studied at The Ailey School and graduated from the Certificate Program in 2018. There, she performed works by Ephrat Asherie, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Winston D. Brown, Amy Hall, Earl Mosley, and Darrell Moultrie. She performed Alvin Ailey’s Memoria restaged by Ronni Favors at the New York City Center amongst the dancers of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

Valériane had the opportunity to work alongside Chester Whitmore, Frit & Frat, Augusto Soledade BRAZZDANCE, Davalois Fearon Dance, Bloodline Dance Theatre, Frank Muhuel Dance Company, Will Brown Zen Flow Movement and Project TAG.

​

Before dancing with Ronald K.Brown/EVIDENCE, A Dance Company for 2 years, she received the EVIDENCE Dance Workshop Series Beth Young Scholarship and apprenticed.

​

Ms. Louisy Louis Joseph is a recipient of multiple awards in ballet categories at National and International dance competitions in France. In addition to performing she taught classes in New York City and has been invited as a guest teacher in France as well as in Martinique.

 

Valeriane is now building on her career a part of the dance ensemble of the Lion King at The Mogador Theater in Paris for the season 2021-2022.
